  From June 21 to 23, China Telecom and Qualcomm co-sponsored the “2013 ESurfing 3G Mobile Phone Trade Fair”(also known as Mobile Internet Forum).

  Present in the event were terminal manufacturers, designers, app developers, chipmakers, agents, dealers and operators from China and overseas – 10,000 players of CDMA industrial chain.

  By then, China Telecom has already sold 1,600 sets of CDMA terminals of different kinds, 400 more than in 2012.

  It is known that the first ESurfing Mobile Phone Trade Fair in 2009 was only joined by 130 terminal manufacturers and hundreds of deal- ers. Last year, there were 200 terminal manufacturers and 5,000 dealers. This year, the number of present enterprises increased to 600, including Apple, Samsung, HTC, Nokia, Huawei and other manufacturers, as well as 300 mobile Internet companies, 50 B2C websites and numerous dealers. The large number of present exhibitors shows the leap-forward devel-opment of China Telecom’s CDMA industrial chain.

  In the past year, China Telecom firmly held the development ideal of“opening-up for win-win”. It universally launched in-depth cooperation with partners in the industrial chain and built several series of tailor-made mobile phones.

  Presently, China Telecom has four series of mobile phones, each of which has its own features and various kinds of devices, giving users a lot of choices. This has explained the drastic increase of the number of CDMA terminals sold by China Telecom.

  The glory of CDMA terminals is fully attributed to China Telecom’s terminal development strategy that promotes all series of tailor-made smart phones simultaneously. The strategy focuses on: a), the continuous development of 3G smart phones that are constantly priced at around 1,000 yuan; b), innovations in the applications, functions and fashion to provide better cost performance; c), improvement of the performance of rudimentary 3G smart phones priced at within 600 yuan; and d), continuous introduction of high-end products from Apple, Samsung and Nokia.

  In addition, China Telecom is going to improve its efforts in the tailor-made mobile phones, promoting the spread of “Wheat Awn” mobile phone for young users. It is also going to encourage Chinese domestic mobile phone manufacturers to launch more high-end products.

  It also puts great efforts in building its own brand. For example, it works with several enterprises to launch the “Heart-to-World” mobile phones.
